Mosaic Monday - Highschool reunion

Saturday night hubby and I attended our highschool's 50th anniversary.  Reunions are always a fun time to meet up with fellow students you haven't seen for years.
Many of the couples we chatted with were highschool sweethearts, just like us, who have weathered the ups and downs of time.
Some comments have the math confused - we graduated in 1971; there were few there from 1960 when the school opened.
I'm linking with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

  4. Isn't it lovely to look sooo much younger than our parents are our ages?! Love it you had so much fun.

People tried to get us to data when I was in high school & I said 'NO WAY, not that guy'! And here after a 4 week whirlwind 'romance' we celebrate 50 next year ... oh, my the humps & bumps ... & still goin'.

    Have a beautiful week ~

  5. Awww, this is so special.
And you were high school sweethearts? That is really something.
Congrats on all your years together, weathering ups and downs. It's heartening to read this, in a world where everything is disposable!

  8. You must have been a child prodigy -- you don't look old enough to have graduated from high school 50 years ago! Sounds like a fun weekend! :)

  13. What a blessing to have friends who were also high school sweethearts, still together, love lasting. My parents didn't attend school together, but my momma met my daddy while she was in high school. Classic high school love story, he was a Georgia boy stationed up north, in Vermont, through the Airforce. There were a bunch of them, my momma's friends and my daddy's buddy's who met, fell in love, married just out of high school (mine married while she was still a senior in high school b/c my daddy was suppose to leave). December 26th of this year would have been their 50th anniversary. Wow.

I'm visiting from Mary's Mosaic post...sorry for the long comment. Your post just brought it all out of me :)

Glad that you enjoyed your reunion ~A Vermont Girl

  17. If you went to Grade 13 and graduated in '71 then you and I are the same vintage. I missed my reunion a few years back, but I decided that some things were best left to memory.

  21. Hello Judith. I am over from Mary's MM. Congratulations on your long life together. I can see where one would be confused about your age. You just went to the 50th to celebrate. HH and I just celebrated our Golden anniversary in April this year. Up and down and around and around. Just like a roller coaster. I love roller coasters. LOL Blessings
