Friday’s Favourite–Foggy Day

This morning my walk with Topaz was through a shroud of fog.  This kind of weather gives the day an eerie atmosphere and this tree took on an ominous look.

Car lights look like the glowing eyes of a large creature.

Yet there is beauty on a day such as this too.  The Annabelle hydrangea flowers that are now a crispy parchment colour have pretty ice crystals covering them.

  1. I like misty mornings, too. Everything takes on a new and mysterious air.

  2. It was still dark with I walked Rory this morning - in fact it's still quite dark out here. I wear a headlamp, as it's easy to trip on our paths, or to bump into a tree! We've had a fair amount of fog in the last week, but mostly in early evening.

  3. Hello Judith, a fun and mysterious morning:-)) Fog reminds me of being a kid... I grew up in LA and we had such heavy fog we would run allover the playground and "hide" from each other..
The frost on your Hydrangea is beautiful:-))

  4. Judith, The hydrangea photo is fabulous! The ice crystals are so delicate. You are right, as we blog, we do indeed become more observant. I'll bet that before you started blogging you would not have taken a camera along when you walk your dog. Now, though, NOT having a camera can mean missed opportunity. Have a nice weekend, Judith!

  7. Oh, gorgeous! I love the frost on the hydrangea, Judith. We've had a lot of rain and it's been warm so ours aren't very dry yet. Thanks for sharing your lovely walk! (no news on the hot tub front. :)) – g
