Friday's Favourite - Christmas magazines

Look what's come in the mail!  Christmas magazines full of decorating ideas, tantalizing recipes and motivation.

I've decided to make myself a cup of tea and there's a crisp biscotti sitting across the mug for dipping.  Then I'll put my feet up on a comfy lazyboy chair in the living room and spend some time pouring through these two magazines.

Kathy, from A Delightsome Life is having a Christmas with Victoria blog party on December 6 and if you'd like to join, visit her blog to sign up.

  1. Hi Judith, That sounds like a wondeful way to spend the afternoon!! I picked up the Victoria Bliss, and Mike is going away for the weekend so I will have time for a long quiet read:-))) I haven't seen the Christmas Cottage one yet!! Did you see that Victoria also has out a Classics Holiday Bliss??
    Have a great time!

  2. Haven't seen this one yet ... hmmmm! Looks like I'm going to soon. Enjoy your browsing & cup o'tea.
    Have a lovely eve ~

  3. Hi Judith,
It was a good day I am sure! I got both of those today too-they are both lovely. I see now I need to be on the lookout for the Holiday Bliss too.

  4. Hi Judith: I picked up a copy of Bliss Victoria with the Christmas tree while we were away shopping in Buffalo. It had so many inspirational pictures in it.

  5. Hi Judith, I picked up the Victoria Classics Holiday Bliss and Bliss Victoria on a weekend shopping spree. They are full of beautiful pictures and ideas. Take care, Jen.

  6. Yay, Horrible Hallowe'en is out of the way, and fantabulous Christmas is on the way!
Your idea of a cup of tea and a browse through those magazines is the perfect way to kick-start it!

  7. Dearest Judith,

Exactly, with Victoria you really can snuggle up. I'm so glad they decided to launch this magazine again! Missed it for years...
Enjoy your read and coffee with biscotti!
    Greetings from Georgia,

  8. I should have included the Victoria Classics Holiday Bliss but since I've had it for awhile, didn't think to show it today as well.
They're all inspiring and if you get a chance to read them, enjoy!

  9. This is my favourite time of year when it comes to magazines. I wish I could find a copy of that Victoria one over here. It looks gorgeous!

    Best wishes,

  10. What a nice relaxing way to spend an afternoon! Love the cat on your end table, and you've chosen a pretty teacup too. I also enjoy reading and have been going over recipes for Thanksgiving. I know you have already had your Thanksgiving, so on to Christmas for you, my Canadian friend. When I read about your cornflower crystal, I thought it looked similar to a pattern I have (in a cream and sugar from my m-i-l). I believe it is cornflower, but a different pattern. Relax and enjoy your magazines! Today is a day for me to get out and work on the garden clean-up - and I have a pumpkin tart in the oven.
    Hugs, Beth

  11. Looks like a perfect afternoon to me! Not that I've done that myself in a long while, but you've provided very good inspiration! Hope you enjoyed it thoroughly. – g

  12. Oooooo, so fun! Enjoy these lovely magazines and the weekend as well!
