Autumn Decor

After viewing a few posts from blogger friends in the U.S. I realized I had some catching up to do.  You see, they already had their autumn decor out and I hadn't even thought about it yet.  So, being motivated from all the cute pumpkins, wreaths and fall colours I got to work and pulled out my decorations.

I made this wreath quite a few years ago to hang outside the front door and love how simple, yet festive it is.  In case you're wondering, we bought a scroll saw, I traced my wooden figures and hubby cut them out for me to paint.

Glittery pumpkins from Walmart sit in a wire basket with a black crow on top.  The basket is on a small iron table to the left of the front door.

Inside on the front entrance table there is a wire pumpkin with a scented candle in it,

and a scarecrow in a pumpkin patch.

The living room has a few dishes of pumpkin spice potpourri sprinkled around that make the air smell wonderful.

The dining room table has a cloth on that belonged to my mother and a vase of silk sunflowers.  The pumpkins and gourds on the tablecloth really do say autumn and spills never show on it. (perfect for little grandchildren)

I'm linking with Cielo from House in the Roses for Show off your Cottage Monday and Mary from Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.  I hope you'll visit the host of these memes for some inspiring posts.

  1. Very nice autumnal decorations! I'm impressed that your hubby cut out the pieces for your fall wreath. There must be tons of applications for a scroll saw... I'm going to be asking my hubby about that one.

  18. Love the wreath, Judith! I'm impressed that you were able to create such detail with the scroll saw. I'm going to have to look at getting one. Meanwhile, I'm hanging on to a bit of summer still and will wait for any fall decorating until next month. Have a lovely week! – g

  20. I like your entrance table decor, as well as the floral tablecloth! Judith you manage to combine several of my interests in your blog: gardening and home/decorating/tea/tablescaping. If I had it to do over again, I'd just do one blog and combine things. It's kind of hard to keep up with two sometimes! Your blog blends your interests beautifully. Hope your week is going well.
    Blessings, Beth
