Tea with Friends and Victoria

I'm serving tea with a twist today as I haven't been home much lately and didn't have time to prepare a nice tea party.  As you can see from the huge teapot above that I photographed at a Royal Doulton store, it's big enough to hold tea for everyone.  I'm linking with Sandi from Rose Chintz Cottage and Lady Katherine from Lady Katherine Tea Parlor and I hope you'll join us too.

I baked a loaf of banana bread with coconut on top which of course I snapped at another time.  The only requirement is your company and to please bring your own cup and saucer.
As you know, I've been celebrating the wonderful magazine 'Victoria' with Kathy from A Delightsome Life during tea and in the issue below, a fellow Canadian Elaine Martin was featured for a 'Day in the Country'.

Elaine used to give workshops at her home in the country which she has since sold and moved her business to Toronto.

That's Elaine and I with the dried wildflower swag I made druing one of the workshops.  The branches we cut from trees from her property and lots of ribbon was added for a nice effect.
When the workshop was finished we all trooped into her large kitchen for a delightful lunch.

  1. This looks like the most fun, Judith! How great that you did the workshop with Elaine. Banana bread with coconut sounds incredible. Have a beautiful day! – g

  2. Hi Judith...
Thanks for sharing tea (I am so wanting some of that banana bread, much too hot for me to bake here)! I hope your weather has calmed down, I was so surprised you have some drastic weather so far north! You lovely ladies look to have been having a fabulous time in the garden, and what a pretty garden it is!!

  3. Hello Judith,
I am so happy you were able to join me. Better late than never, I always say! The teapot is wonderful and quite perky too. One of my favourite treats is banana bread although I seldom bake it because my hubby isn't overly fond of quick breads. Unfortunate, because I love them myself. Looks like you and your friend had a wonderful time in the garden. I love creating things especially when joined by a friend. Thank you for joining me for tea today and thank you for commenting on keeping the name of my meme too; you are the only one who has so far. I appreciate your taking time to participate. Always a pleasure to visit with you! Too bad we live so far apart. Happy Tea Tuesday and enjoy the rest of your week.

  4. Hi Judith, I have always wanted to take one of Elaines' workshops. Your pictures show how wonderful a time you had, I am sorry to have missed them. The teapot is wonderful, it would serve a large group very easily. Take care and enjoy the rest of the day. Jen

  5. Hi Judith: I enjoyed your post today. It must have been a creative day you had making the swag. Banana loaf looks delicious too.

  6. The banana bread with coconut topping sounds good, Judith. I love the teapot too. Thanks for the information on Elaine and her workshops - looks like you had great fun. Hope you have a great week and save me a cup of tea. (I'll bring my own teacup!) lol
