Mosaic Monday - How to beat the heat

My suggestions on how to deal with the hot weather most of us have been experiencing:
* go to the beach
* go sailing
* find a fountain to run through (or share the kids' wading pool)
* find a shady spot to stretch out and take a nap
* think about all the cold snowy winter days we'll be complaining about in 4 or 5 months

If you have any suggestions to add to my list, feel free to comment. :-)

I'm linking with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday where there are collages of every shape and size that are so much fun to make.

  1. That squirrel is just too funny. Did you take that photo. I don't think I've ever seen a relaxed squirrel! Lovely collage.

  5. Hi Judith, Great way to beat the heat. The squirrels are always lying around my garden on the fences in just that same pose.

  14. The black squirrel looks so cute! I do have another suggestion aside form jumping into the pool, water yourself while watering the plants....Christine

    Thanks for the visit and I would like to see some of the ancient cemeteries that are around your area.

  24. That squirrel looks positively flattened by the heat! Very funny. We're mostly overcast and in the low 70s today, so no problem heat-wise.

  25. Hi Judith,
    We don't have black squirrels here, just red and gray ones. The little black fellow is pretty cute! Nice mosaic!
