Tea with Friends - A casual tea

I had planned to put out some cups and saucers for our tea today but decided to use a couple of mugs from my new Lenox 'Butterfly Meadow' dishes instead.  Not brand new, I ordered them in April from William Ashely in Toronto after seeing the pattern in Florida back in March.  As we flew down this year I couldn't bring a set of dishes back but did buy 4 fruit bowls and then hunted back at home where I could  purchase the rest of the dishes.
There's a mug for both you and I with a yellow butterfly on it.  The scalloped edges are on all pieces as well as flowers, butterflies, bees and dragonflies - I love them all.

I baked some cheese scones too that are nice to have with a casual tea with friends.

I like to join these nice ladies for tea each week and I hope you'll visit them too.

  16. The Lenox tea mugs are so pretty. I love butterflies! And those scones look absolutely yummy. I still haven't figured out how to pronounce that word though ... should it rhyme with stone? or lawn? I'm never sure about that. :)
