Mosaic Monday - Peonies

I realize I already posted my Friday's Favourite on peonies but because I love them so much, just had to to a mosaic with them too.
Not all of these grow in my gardens, I have a large library of photos as a garden writer and have a camera with me practically all the time.  Keeping all of the pictures in easy to find files can be a challenge at times and if anyone has a sure fire method of organizing numerous photos, I'd like to hear about it.
The flowers are filed alphabetically, then there's gardens, vegetables, farm life and so on.  I was happy to hear a well known speaker say he also had to come up with photos for a seasonal topic down the road for which he didn't have photos.  Late last summer I was to do a Christmas mantle theme article for the magazine I write for and didn't have a thing.  We don't have a mantle, the decorations weren't out yet and I really had to scramble.
I'm joining Mosaic Monday that is hosted by Mary at Little Red House; I hope you'll visit her blog to find some really fun collages.

  10. You have created a gorgeous mosaic. I have big blousy peonies but have never seen smaller, simpler ones like in the middle of the mosaic. Very pretty, and I bet their heads don't get as weighed down as the big ones do.

I just had a quick look around you blog and love it - I'm going to become a follower. Like you said it is nice to find a fellow Ontarian.

  15. Your peonies are gorgeous and you've arranged them so nicely in a mosaic. We had our first come to bloom this year after at least a two year wait. I wish they had lasted longer.

  19. Thanks for your comment on my blog and I wonder if you have a picture of how deep your peonies should be planted. I transplanted one to a dry clay soil and it hasn't bloomed for the last two years. I'm wondering what I should add to the clay to help it bloom or should I just move it to a looser soil bed? thanks for your advice!
