Happy Canada Day

In 1867, Queen Victoria, at the request of Sir John A. Macdonald and the Fathers of Confederation, declared the formation of the Dominion of Canada on July 1st.
2010 marks the 143rd anniversary of Dominion Day or as it is more commonly known, 'Canada Day'.
Our local MP, Peter Van Loan has been hosting an annual old fashioned Dominion Day pancake breakfast for the past few years which Glenn and I attend.  It's a great community event and a chance to catch up with people we don't see all the time.
Cheers to my Canadian blog friends on this special day.

  1. Happy Canada Day back at you Judith! Although I have lived in the U.S. on and off for 30 years I was born and went to school in Canada and have dual citizenship. Tomorrow morning I will feel 100% Canadian all day long..:)Have a great day!
