The colours in gardens and homes, as well as those we wear, affect our health. Each colour has a personality of its own which produces an emoitional response.
Red is an emotive colour symbolizing sexuality in many countries and the lucky colour for brides in China. The colour red can raise blood pressure and increase respiration so must be used carefully when applied for colour therapy. 'The Healing Garden' by David Squire
Red flowers, berries and birds really stand out in a garden. The red cutter was very regal looking when the owner first painted it years ago and it too caught your attention on the front lawn of the farmhouse. Today, it is faded, weather worn and barely noticeable.
The vase perched on its side is from one of the floral competitions at Canada Blooms this year.
