Emma's Tea Party

Our four granddaughters love to have tea parties with Grandma.  On our trip to visit family up north this past weekend, Emma, who is six could hardly wait for us to arrive.  I had told her that when she got home from school on Friday, we would have tea and scones.
I baked them fresh that morning to take and thought that Emma would probably like dainty little scones for our tea.

We had Earl Grey tea and strawberry jam on the buttermilk and currant scones.

Here's Emma with her mother's Bunnykin mug that's the perfect size for little hands to drink tea.  Emma had on her new pink dress with butterflies and a necklace to match.

Grandma received an early Mother's Day gift of two pretty bone china mugs with lavender and bees on them.
Please join other friends for tea at Rose Chintz Cottage and Lady Katherine Tea Parlor.

  4. What a lucky lady you are to have such a darling granddaughter to share tea and scones with! My grandmother always made us fresh scones when we stopped by for a visit. I had my children's Bunnikins mugs and plates out at Easter. I'll try to find the Beatrix Potter books next year.

  6. Lucky you and lucky granddaughter(s)!! I have a Bunnykin mug like the one Emma is holding. I used the matching bowl nearly every morning for my cereal when I was young many years ago. Thanks for sharing. ♥♫

  7. Ditto what Marilyn said. You are so lucky to have granddaughters who love to have tea with grandmother. The Bunnykin's mug is dear. I have a few pieces too. I always thought it would be fun to get a set of these to set a table, but never have. With no children of my own it's a bit much to do such a thing. :-)
    Thanks for sharing~
