Tea with Friends - St. Patrick's Day

It's Tea Time Tuesday again hosted by Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage and Lady Katherine's Tea Parlor.  With St. Patrick's Day tomorrow I am sharing a shamrock cup and saucer inherited from my husband's grandmother.

I don't know the name of the pattern and the set was divided between family members.  There's a nice feeling to sip tea from the cup and remember that Nana enjoyed doing the same with it.
I'll leave you with an Irish blessing for tea on this special day.  This is a shamrock ornament that I bought at a small Irish shop a few years ago and it hangs on my tea cart.

  1. Good morning Judith,
Welcome back; you've been missed! Your grandmother's teacup is lovely! What a wonderful piece for St. Patrick's Day too, as well as your Irish blessing! I see you have used my new Tea Time button; thank you. You may want to change 'My Yellow Door' to 'Rose Chintz Cottage.'
Spring is almost here and I'm looking forward to seeing your garden! Thank you for joining me for Tea Time once again and I hope you have a beautiful day and the rest of the week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  2. That cup is a wonderful. I love the hand painted shamrocks. I haven't seen another one this week of that quality. I love too that it has a Phoenix on the bottom. That may be a magical lucky cup.;)

  3. Thank you for the Irish blessing, brings my Irish mother to mind. Tea was her choice of beverage and as a young kid we would have tea with lots of milk. It is also my choice. Thanks for sharing tea with us.
