Tea with Friends - Crystal Finds

It's time for tea on Tuesday again and I'm joining Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday, Rhondi at Rose Colored Glasses for Tea Party Tuesday and Katherine at Lady Katherine Tea Parlor also for Tea Time Tuesday.

Until I get my new dining room set, I'm still without most of my decorations and tea party accessories as they're packed away for now.  I was able to set this cuddly Easter bunny, candy dish and small cake plate in a corner and under the dome is the porcelain egg I crafted a number of years ago.

This is the crystal cream and sugar set I like to use best as it's dainty and just the right size with cups and saucers.  I bought it at a garage sale for $5 and think that was a good deal.

I was pleased to find a tiny pair of silver tongs in a tea store as I like to serve brown sugar cubes but also offer honey.

One day while browsing in an antique store I saw this jam pot in the same crystal pattern as the cream and sugar and knew I had to have it.  The opening where the spoon sits has a small chip as the cashier pointed out but, as I like to say, 'it adds character'.

Blogger has been acting rather strangely as I post and won't let me centre all my pictures but I've heard others have been given grief by it today too.

  5. Hello Judith,

you made a good purchase with this crystal set, because you can use it with every coffee or tea set. And how nice will it look at a breakfast table with the marmelade jar.

    Nice greetings,

  8. Hi Judith! I have been experiencing some difficulty with Blogger as well, but they seem to be trying to fix the problem(s). I hope it straightens out for you soon... Love the little bunny candy dish you have here today, and the silver tongs too! This is the first time, however, that I have ever heard of brown sugar cubes! I will have to keep an eye open for those! ~tina

  10. I have a jam pot just like yours. Somehow jam tastes better when spooned from it--and I love the "jeweled" look of jam in a crystal pot.

    Best,
    Bonnie
