Birthday at the Village Inn

Today is my birthday and my husband took me out for dinner to the Village Inn Steak House in Thornton, a restaurant that is in an old Victorian house.

This is the fireplace we sat beside and although it wasn't lit, it was cozy.  Below is the fireplace in the room on the other side of the wall where the wood is burned and the heat travels through to this room.

The pewter tea pots looked interesting.

In the powder room was a fascinating choice for wallpaper and the antique hair brush and mirror on the wall complemented the decor.
Dinner was delicious and the creme brulee I had for dessert, decadent.

  1. Happy birthday girl. Bet the steak was real tasty. My friend always has Creme brulee for desert too.

  2. Happy birthday! There's plenty to engage the interest between courses in that setting.
