Camera Critters - Bees

I think anyone that photographs flowers is always looking for good shots of insects too.  Bees are such an important pollinator in our gardens and they do love yellow flowers.  The top picture shows one on a daisy and the bottom, a close up on daylily foliage.  Visit Camera Critters to see wonderful pet pictures and some amazing wildlife.

  1. Wonderful flowers and bee photos!

  2. I like your bee shots. We grow insect-attracting plants and enjoy watching and photographing the visitors.

  3. Wonderful captures :)

I'm always on the look out for bees when taking photos out in the garden.

  4. LC: Beauties for certain, I love to capture bees on flowers.

  5. We tried all summer to get a good bee shot. None turned out as good as these though. Love that macro. I like bees.

  6. What a great entry you have. Hope you have a nice weekend. God Bless!

  7. Beautiful captures of these bees. Either the bees in my neighborhood are MUCH SMALLER or your lens is much better than mine ;-)
    Wonderful post!
    Hugs and blessings,

  8. Amazing shots of the bees! I particularly like the one with the daisy. I hope you're enjoying you weekend!

  9. Although I usually photograph big game animals, I love this type of subject and need to photograph them more often.

Excellent work, and thanks for sharing about your 40D. I usually shoot in aperture preferred mode, but have started using manual more often in tricky lighting conditions.

  10. Not a lot of bees out and about now :) Great shot!

    Thanks for stopping by :)

  11. I love your header photo and Topaz is very adorable!!
