Camera Critters - Topaz and the Frog

This is our cocker-poo Topaz having a stare down with one of the frogs from the pond.  He used to chase after the frogs until they'd jump in the water but has learned not to do that any more.
Now Topaz knows that frogs are just for looking at, and as you can see here, the frog is intent on studying him too.
Hop over to Camera Critters to see more lovable animals by way of the purple paw on the side bar.

  1. Thanks for stopping by. Mine are 9, 6 and 2 (Mom, son and daughter). Even though yours is six, if you decide to get a pup... you will be amazed at how "young" they keep the adults :)

  3. I love that photo! This is one that should be entered in a contest of some kind. I love the look on Topaz's face, and the red ladybug figure, if that's what it is, next to them. I can just see him sizing up the squirrels before chasing them, too.

  8. How cute. We used to have a toad that always seemed to be in our driveway in the evenings when I walked the dogs in FL. The dogs quickly learned that they should leave it alone!

Thanks for stopping by my Camera Critters!

  11. What a darling photo!!! How sweet that one so large and one so teeny could have a stare down without any fear.

  12. What a sweet picture. I have frogs in a little pond, too, but I have not noticed my poodle taking any special interest in them. He doesn't sit still long enough I guess. I also love your dog's name -- Topaz -- how perfect.
