Mosaic Monday - Florida flowers

On a trip to Florida in February last year we visited a botanical garden.  At home in Canada it was the dead of winter - nothing but white snow. To see so many colours at that time of year was heaven for me.  I've shown the foliage from one plant too as it had an attractive colour combination.
I love gardening but do appreciate the break we get in the north and don't know if I'd like to garden all year round.
Do you garden twelve months of the year?  Any visitors that do -  how about sharing your thoughts on this.
I hope you'll visit Mary from Little Red House who hosts Mosaic Monday each week.  Mary's home has been chosen by Houzz for a tour and interview with her, and what a beautiful house she has.

  4. Beautiful colors! Love your mosaic.
Please do be careful when letting your dog out at night. We also have a chihuahua and our vet said if she had gotten out it would have killed her. The are sooo mean!
Thank you for Cyndar's well wishes. She gets her drains out tomorrow. :~)

  6. I wouldn't say I 'garden', but I do 'pull weeds' and I certainly appreciate a bit of a break at this time of year.
I love the colors you found here.

  7. I guess I never considered that we do get a break from gardening... I love seasons, but I do miss the green and the flowers.

  8. Such color is so beautiful. Even though we have a few hanger ons here everything is mostly gone and the skies are gray. MB

  10. Beautiful flowers and photos. Your mosaic is wonderful. I do not think it is possible for me to garden year round, not in the zone where I live.

  12. I so admire your passion for creating habitat for wildlife, something we endeavor in our own little patch of city. We've spent hours and several seasons tearing out invasive non-natives and replaced them with natives in our and the adjacent lot. I think I can learn a thing or two here...will be back. Thx.

  13. I'm happy for the break, but I then finds pots of blooming indoor plants for the winter. Guess I just can't be without my flowers!

  14. My husband is the gardener and he'd probably enjoy gardening 12 months a year.
    The flowers are lovely.

  16. Lovely mosaic. I can not garden all year either. I am in New England and get all 4 seasons here. But I love to look at all of the gardening catalogs through out the winter and your beautiful mosaic just made my day!
