Mosaic Monday - Country living
It's Mosaic Monday again that's hosted by Mary so be sure to visit her blog for other mosaics.
As a youngster I'd visit my Grandmother's farm with a couple of older cousins where there were work horses, cows, pigs and chickens. We had the best time jumping in the hay piles, chasing the cows and I, as the youngest, taking a piglet into the farmhouse to cuddle.
I live in a widespread town comprised of villages surrounded by farm country and within a five minute or so drive the animals and views here can be enjoyed.
The arch in the top middle is a gift from nature on one of our lines and is beautiful in the winter. We have a public park just down the road where I took the photo of a point on lake Simcoe with Snake Island in the distance.
Red-tailed hawks are often seen sitting on hydro poles waiting for lunch in the field below and this one had just taken off after something.
